On 12-13 November 2014, the Balkan Venture Forum - COINVEST Edition will take place in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

The Balkan Venture Forums play an active role in supporting Balkan-based entrepreneurs to connect with international investors and business partners. This time the investment forum will take place in Nova Gorica and showcase businesses from Slovenia and the rest of the Balkan region. After an online selection by leading investors in Europe, the Top 50 companies will be selected to showcase at the event.

The BkVF - COINVEST Edition is one of the regional semi-finals of the European Venture Contest (EVC) 2014. Thus, the top quartile (best-rated 25%) companies from the BkVF - COINVEST Edition will get a direct access to the EVC Final, known as the European Venture Summit (EVS) in December 2014. The EVS is the continent’s biggest venture marketplace connecting 120+ entrepreneurs and 120+ investors.

Balkan Venture Forum - COINVEST Edition in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, is one of the main objectives of the SEE Programme project VIBE (Venture Initiative in Balkan Europe) and is being co-financed by the European Union. VIBE is a regional eco-system accelerator that takes on the challenge of developing the innovation and entrepreneurship system in the SEE. It does this through high-impact actions that enable a key financing process for innovation and entrepreneurship, which is crucial to the development of a knowledge-based economy in the SEE region.
